The Odyssey Map - Literary Map

One side of this beautifully illustrated map depicts the Aegean Sea and the surrounding areas where most of the places mentioned in Homer s epic poem can confidently be located. The other side of the map illustrates how Homer himself might have envisioned the world and Odysseus adventurous journeys in the outer limits of it. The map also presents a number of location theories that scholars have proposed over the years. Literary Maps publishes detailed illustrated maps for classic books. The places in the book appear on the maps in the order they are mentioned in the text. If there are too many places to mention all, the most important places are highlighted. In some maps, the routes of the main characters are also shown.
